being a lesbian SUCKS! I mean, the average standard ‘looks-wise' for lesbians is significantly lower than the general female population, and they all seem to have family issues that i personally dont want to touch with a 10 foot pole! Men also seem to view lesbians as a personal challenge. I'm really girly, and generally considered to be pretty, so i get quite a lot of guys hitting on me. Gently but firmly telling them that i'm not interested (and why) seems to do nothing to disuade them, and though at first, this can be quite funny, it can get very annoying. Also, the % of the population that is ‘actually' lesbian is absolutely TINY. Everyone knows a gay man, but gay women are like myths. I heard a recent stastic that about 2% of the female population would identify as lesbian, which realistically seems accurate. Yes, more women would admit to being bisexual, but in my experience once they've experimented with you sexually, they quickly lose interest. Not relationship material anyway.
