Love
I wish you hadn't kissed me, when you walked me to the door. I wish you hadn't held my hand, and made me want you more. I wish you hadn't whispered, all those sweet things in my ear. I wish you hadn't stroked my hair, or hugged and held me near. I wish you hadn't smiled, when I opened up my eyes. I wish your touch, hadn't erased all your little lies. I wish there were no little things, reminding me of you. I wish memories wouldn't make me feel the way I do. I wish I didn't know, that if you called I'd run right over. I wish I could be strong and smart- and give you the cold shoulder.
I wish you would have treated me, like just another girl, then the night I spent with you, would feel like they were real. I wish I hadn't fallen hard, I knew you were for real, but I just can't help the way, that being with you made me feel. I wish I wouldn't wake up sad and know I've dreamt of you. I wish I could get through a day, and never think of you. I wish I could forget how you took away my fears, I wish I only thought of you when you didn't wipe my tears. I wish that you had been the guy, I hope that you would be. I wish I could get over you, like you got over me. I wish that I could see you, for the person that you are... but the heart won't ever listen, or grant wishes on a star.. And I wish that all these wishes were full of honesty. But truth be told, I wish that you would just come back to me.
I Can Feel You...
You're far away,
but, I can feel you.
You exist in my every breath,
in every beat of my heart,
adding a spectacular sizzle
in all the right places.
Even when I close my eyes,
I see your face and feel
the fire of your caress.
Your presence is a tangible thing...
yet as hard to grasp as the air.
I reach for you,
but you elude me.
Still, I can feel you;
the softness of a petal,
a warm wind on my cheek,
a ray in my vision,
a distant light that
ever draws me near.
To these eyes,
you shall never grow old;
nor shall winter's clutch
ever feel too bitter and cold,
when you're here to warm my soul.
Of all the things
in this world I've seen--
autumns of orange and red,
winters gray and mean,
and summers of hazy gold,
you shall ever be,
the springtime of my heart,
a fragrant blossom
as fresh as boughs of green.
Neither these eyes
nor this soul
seeks to be deceived,
but when your endless beauty
is perceived,
this heart shall beat gladly
for you alone.
You're my sunshine
and my garden overgrown
with soft white blossoms
that never fail to
inspire and enchant me.
You've planted the seeds,
for all that my happiness is
and ever shall be.
rajeev,
Thanks for the phone call. I loved hearing from you. You're great. I like you more every time we talk... You have been warned!! (smile)
You asked in the "Dear Mr. Mahar" e-mail what the chances are that you are the girl of my dreams. Truthfully, I think the chances are pretty good. That is why I am still here. Is it a certainty? Absolutely not, but at this point, I haven't seen (pun intended) anything that tells me you are not The One. I am quite taken with you. I am fully aware that someday you may decide to shoot me down in a blaze of glory. I understand that. I know you may develop a romantic interest in some else that requires ending the romantic possibilities with me. I accept that. I also know that it is possible that I may decide you are not quite the person that I am looking for. If that were to happen, that would be very, very difficult for me to do. I understand the risks and rewards of going forward may be huge. I am far more worried about losing out because I didn't open myself up to you than being hurt because I did. I have made my decision, I am willing to take my chances.
In terms of where we are three months from now. I guess a lot will depend on what happens when we meet. I am expecting to want to give you a BIG HUGE long hug, in friendship, if nothing else. I really don't feel any concerns in terms of being disappointed in your looks. I think you have had an opportunity to see around eight pictures of me. My understanding so far, is that you have liked what you have seen. I don't see conversation being a problem since we seem to do fine on the phone, without the visual cues and body language of being face to face. I know we are both interested in giving and receiving physical affection, I believe that would similarly flow to warmth in intimacy if, someday in the future, we were ever to reach that level. I think both of us have shown an interest in being flexible towards the interests of the other. I would expect that I would be bringing you flowers and writing you letters, notes and e-mails. I anticipate three or four months from now we will be very close. I am not seeing the hitch...
Should we not make it as a romantic couple, who knows what the possibilities may be as friends. I can't say. My hope would be that we could be friends, but there is a possibility hurt feelings and wounded hearts would not allow for a close friendship.
Both romantically and as friends, there are no guarantees in life.
I hope I have addressed your concerns. If not, maybe we could discuss this further.
With fond thoughts,
rajeev
Dear rajeev,
I know there's an ocean between us,
and I wish that it weren't true,
for every day when I arise,
I yearn to be with you.
Though a lot of distance lies between us,
you'll always be in my mind and my heart,
And every night beneath the stars,
I pray for the day we'll never be part.
Every day I will be thinking about you. When my eyes are closed, when I sing and dance to a love song, when I'm checking my email, I will be thinking about you. When I go to sleep in the loneliness of my room and give in to wonderful dreams I will definitely be thinking about you.
I know someday we will meet and spend our lives with each other. I have waited for someone like you, and now that I have found you I will never let you go. I love you so much, Willie!!
Love Always,
rajeev
Dear anila,
From the very first moment I saw you I knew that we were destined to be together. It has been so long since a woman has captured my attention so fully or made my heart beat the way it did that cool day in May. Your smile lights up my entire spirit. Your laughter fills me with joy, and your mere presence will warm any room. I have no doubt you are the woman Heaven has made especially for me.
Thank you for the comfortable conversations and for asking me to be yours. Most importantly, thank you for sharing your love and wanting to make me your husband. No matter how slowly or at what distance our courtship developes, I know standing before God and our future family, vowing to be your partner for life, was the easiest decision I could have ever made.
Each day that passes makes our love for each other grow stronger. Although I know it’s hard for us to be apart, I know there is nothing that can keep us apart forever. Our desires will continue to stretch across any distance, over every mountain and ocean between us. Nothing can stand between us, and nothing will stop me from meeting you.
You are my future and nothing can ever keep us from our destiny. I miss you more every day. I am here with open arms where you will some day finally arrive... right where you belong.
Love Always,
Hector
Dear D!MP!,
Hi, Baby Bear You're always lighting up my heart with the things you do and say. I feel so happy just being with you this way. You're my baby, and will forever be my baby. You will always be the love of my life, and please never give up, always have faith in yourself and you will gain the greatest gift of all, the gift of hope and love you righteously deserve. Every time I think of you my heart misses a beat. You're my theme for a dream! Every moment we share together we grow closer. I'm simply hanging by a moment, waiting to see you again so you can hold me so tight that all else fades, I thought after you left you would fade away from my mind, but still everyday I wake up dreaming of our time together. I will never forget you. I hope you still think of me too. I love you with all that I am, all that I was and all that I will ever be. Please know that my love and I are inseparable and I would want it no other way and if time could express my love for you then it's forever and a day, I can't wait to be with you, see your smile, look in your eyes, feel your sweet touch, hear your perfect words and kiss your perfect lips. The way I feel about you some people call it crazy, some call it insane, but I call it true love. I really love you, Baby Bear.
Love Always,
Lavarish
Dear D!MP!,
It is really hard to begin to describe the way I feel for you. I have gone over these feelings over a year now and we are still not together. You tell me that you don't feel the same way. No let me take that back, you tell everyone else you don't feel the same way. If you are afraid of hurting me, then not saying anything to me face to face hurts more than anything. No matter what, I can't seem to stop thinking of you or believing we are meant to be together. I guess that's how love goes. You must struggle at the beginning to find the true happiness in the end.
There is just so much about you that I see in you that no one else seems to see, including you. I see a person that believes things are helpless and hopeless but deep down you want to believe things will be great.
Maybe I've tried to hard, or have gone the wrong way. I don't know the answer to why we aren't together, but I do know my feelings are real. There certainly isn't real communication between us. I definitely am not myself around you, so you really haven't gotten to know the real me.
If only we could start over and forget that I have feelings for you, we could get to know each other better. So I'm a hopeless romantic? You are a man of hurt and anger. I guess I believe there is a prince inside everyone, including the Beast. No matter what, you will never make me feel sorry for loving you. If I had made any sense at all I'll end this letter now. I have waited a year to go out with you; I'll wait forever to be with you.
Love always,
Anamika
Dear D!MP!,
Each night before I sleep your sweet voice echoes through my mind. As I rest my head on my pillow a smile seeps through my soul, knowing that you, and you alone have made me whole.
Without you I would simply be surviving, but with you I am living life to the fullest. Because of your love my spirit has been rejuvenated.
The simplest pleasures in life bring me so much joy that it is hard to find the words to describe them. A walk in the park becomes a reality based metaphor... it is our journey together hand in hand forever more.
Even in our moods, regardless of the irritations of daily life we manage to make each other laugh. The sound of your laughter rings through my ears and touches my heart. Our banter that may seem odd to others makes us giggle to no end. The difference between you and I are very few, yet they are there. But we accept those differences, embracing them because they are part of something we love about one another.
It isn't about looks, nor money but the simplicity in life that we find so attractive. Knowing we could survive anywhere as long as we were together.
Love is not a job, love simply is. Unconditional love is what I offer you, and with you I receive the same. You are my heart of hearts, my soul mate, friend, lover and partner for life.
I will love you forever and a day. Thank you for being there, loving me and knowing what my true heart wants.
Love always,
DIMPLE
11 November, 1912
I am now going to ask you a favor which sounds quite crazy, and which I should regard as such, were I the one to receive the letter.
It is also the very greatest test that even the kindest person could be put to.
Well, this is it: Write to me only once a week, so that your letter arrives on Sunday -- for I cannot endure your daily letters, I am incapable of enduring them.
For instance, I answer one of your letters, then lie in bed in apparent calm, but my heart beats through my entire body and is conscious only of you.
I belong to you; there is really no other way of expressing it, and that is not strong enough.
But for this very reason I don't want to know what you are wearing; it confuses me so much that I cannot deal with life; and that's why I don't want to know that you are fond of me. If I did, how could I, fool that I am, go on sitting in my office, or here at home, instead of leaping onto a train with my eyes shut and opening them only when I am with you?
Oh, there is a sad, sad reason for not doing so. To make it short: My health is only just good enough for myself alone, not good enough for marriage, let alone fatherhood. Yet when I read your letter, I feel I could overlook even what cannot possibly be overlooked.
If only I had your answer now! And how horribly I torment you, and how I compel you, in the stillness of your room, to read this letter, as nasty a letter as has ever lain on your desk! Honestly, it strikes me sometimes that I prey like a spectre on your felicitous name! If only I had mailed Saturday's letter, in which I implored you never to write to me again, and in which I gave a similar promise.
Oh God, what prevented me from sending that letter? All would be well. But is a peaceful solution possible now? Would it help if we wrote to each other only once a week?
No, if my suffering could be cured by such means it would not be serious. And already I foresee that I shan't be able to endure even the Sunday letters. And so, to compensate for Saturday's lost opportunity, I ask you with what energy remains to me at the end of this letter: If we value our lives, let us abandon it all.
Did I think of signing myself Dein? No, nothing could be more false. No, I am forever fettered to myself, that's what I am, and that's what I must try to live with.
